Conhece a Ana Rita: Finalista do Au Pair of the Year 2025 de Portugal

Todos os anos, o concurso Au Pair of the Year destaca as pessoas incríveis que deixam um impacto duradouro nas suas host families e dão vida à magia da troca cultural. Ser uma excelente au pair vai além de cuidar de crianças—significa partilhar a tua língua e tradições, enquanto aprendes sobre os EUA e sais da tua zona de conforto.

Este ano, estamos entusiasmados por partilhar que a Ana Rita, au pair de Portugal, foi nomeada finalista no concurso Au Pair of the Year da Cultural Care. Entre mais de 350 nomeadas, a Ana Rita destacou-se como uma cuidadora exemplar, um modelo a seguir e uma líder dentro da comunidade de au pairs. Para além de partilhar a cultura portuguesa com a sua host family, também abraçou novas festividades e costumes americanos.

“Ana showed nothing but love and dedication toward my girls. She made it clear that she wanted to be part of our family—not just for the fun moments, but for everything, including the chores. She doesn’t hesitate to take out the garbage or handle the girls’ laundry because, to her, being part of our family means contributing in every way. Ana’s patience and kindness are unmatched. She has a natural ability to connect with my girls and has also won over the hearts of my extended family. My parents, sisters, and teenage nieces all adore her. Whether it’s helping the girls with their homework, playing games, or taking them outside to ride their bikes, Ana pours her heart into every moment. When she has a day off or goes out, my girls run to her with big hugs the second she returns—such is the bond they share. What makes Ana truly extraordinary is her "can-do" attitude and her positivity. She’s always willing to help, goes above and beyond, and brings a sense of joy and balance to our household. She’s more than just an au pair; she’s family.

Ana has introduced us to Portuguese pastries called Pastéis de Nata, traditional embroidered decorative cloths, and has taught the girls Portuguese greetings. Ana has also cooked traditional Portuguese dishes for us. We in turn have shared our culture and traditions with Ana, including her in all of our religious and non-religious celebrations.”
